The Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative is a partnership among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement that establishes a national capacity for gathering, documenting, processing, analyzing, and sharing suspicious activityinformation—also referred to as the SAR process—in a manner that rigorously protects the privacy and civil liberties of Americans.
To report suspicious activity, contact the police immediately. Describe specifically what you observed, including:
Who or what you saw;
When you saw it;
Where it occurred; and
Why it's suspicious.
If there is an emergency, call 9–1–1.
