New Business Requirements
Opening a business is an exciting time. We are happy to assist you to make certain all requirements specific to your business are met prior to your opening. We recommend contacting the Economic Development office, prior to signing a lease or purchasing property.
A
business license is required to operate in the Town of Ashland. Hard copy applications are available at Town Hall. The application will be reviewed by the deputy zoning administrator to assure your use is allowed in the desired location. The business license fee is $30 for the first year.
Dependent on the type of business, there may be other requirements including taxes and licenses, so please schedule an appointment to discuss your business as soon as possible. We look forward to assisting you.
