Composting & Mulch

Benefits of Composting
Composting is a great way to recycle kitchen scraps and yard waste, and yard waste collected by the town’s street crew is also recycled into mulch.

Reduced Price Composting Bins
Take organic waste and turn it into gardening gold! Composting is a great way to recycle kitchen scraps and yard debris. Adding compost to flower and garden beds is one of the best (and least expensive) ways to enrich the soil, and it's environmentally friendly as well. Residents can purchase deluxe compost bins from CVWMA at discounted prices and have them delivered to directly their homes. Visit the CVWMA website.

Free Mulch
Mixed residential yard debris that is collected by the town’s street crew is periodically chipped and shredded, turned into mulch, and made available to residents on a first-come / first-served, self-serve basis. This mulch is available at the Town Shop, located at 100 West Vaughan Road. Residents may stop by any time during daylight hours to collect the mulch.
